Welcome to a healthier way of feeding your dog, we are so happy you’re here.

Feeding your dogs a natural “ real “ food diet is not new, it’s as old as the species itself ( over 37,000 years)

There are plenty of people out there who have been feeding their dogs a natural raw diet for decades. Transitioning your dog to a natural species specific diet is the first step to achieving health and wellness on all levels while preventing disease.

We want whats best for your dog. So let’s get you started!

Understanding the Species

Genetic Scientific Researchers have proven dogs, wolves and coyotes are all genetically linked.

Genetic Scientists as well as scientists from the American Association of Mammalogist and the Smithsonian Institution have determined that wolves, coyotes and dogs share 99.9% of their DNA confirming they are the same species, this species being Canine.

Canines are Omnivores. This is scientifically proven by their own anatomical and physiological makeup. Omnivores are biologically suited to consume vegetation,herbs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, roots, some barks, meat protein and bone.

Note: Omnivores are not herbivores they can not eat all plants. Omnivores can not metabolize plants that do not produce fruit or digest and metabolize grains of any kind.

Dietary variety is important in providing your dogs with all their nutritional needs and requirements. Your dogs body is designed to consume specific foods and in doing so are able to metabolize and utilize all the nutrients in those foods. You can rest assure your dogs are getting all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients they need to stay healthy and vital. You do not need to question if they are getting everything they need. The questions instead should be - am I feeding my dog real human food? Is it fresh ? Is it the quality of food I would eat myself?

Seasonal Foods are also important. Nature is amazing in its inherent knowledge of what is required for all its creatures. In the winter nature provides us with warming foods such as winter squash, dates, pears, persimmons which increase the blood circulation to stay warm. In the summer nature provides us with cooling foods such as melons, berries, bananas which provide us with more alkaline forming foods to hydrate.

Feeding your dogs what they were born to eat

gETTING STARTED

Step 1. Remove all processed pet food products

Step 2. Transition your dog from dog food to a natural raw diet requires starting out with our healing chicken soup.

It is always a good idea to transition your dog gently from processed pet food to a natural diet. This process will soften the effects of detoxification from and acidic forming diet to an alkaline forming diet.

Begin by removing all dog food products and replacing it with chicken soup while introducing some raw fruits and veggies to get your dogs started on a healthy diet.

You DO NOT need to add small amounts of kibble to your dogs meals in fact I highly discourage it. Kibble is not healthy. You will notice positive results immediately after removing it completely from their diet.

PORTIONS

This is a big concern for many who are just getting started. I want you to put measurements aside. There is NO SET AMOUNT - When you are feeding your dog nourishment to enhance health and vitality you dont need to worry about portions or weight.

If your dog is hungry feed him seconds if your dog isn’t hungry cut back. Like us, your dog will be hungrier some days than others. If a child is still hungry do you deny that child more food and make him go hungry? of course not. Your dog will not get fat on this diet, It’s impossible. Your dog is being nourished on a cellular level. There will be days your dog will not be hungry at all and other days they will want more food. We do not eat the same foods or measured amounts every day nor should we.

Nourishing foods are needed to live, thrive and stay healthy. Each dog has their own individual terrain and metabolism. When you first introduce your dog on natural foods they will require a bit more food to catch up. Although they were being fed they were not being nourished. Once your dogs inner terrain achieves a balance you will find their appetite will decrease and they will require less food overall.

I recommend feeding your dogs more fruits, veggies, and herbs than meat. Each dog is different however. If you can feed 50/50 your dog will do great. If you have a dog who prefers more meat that’s okay to, just try to get some fruits and veggies in them every so often. Sometimes smoothies or smoothie bowls are a good way to get fruits in your fur babies. There are some dogs who prefer more fruits and veggies that’s great - you can feed your dog 70-80% fruits and veggies and 20-30% raw meat.

Remember if you are feeding foods that are compatible to the species they are getting everything they need because their body is utilizing those nutrients to provide your dog with a balanced pH. FOOD IS MEDICINE - NOURISHMENT IS HEALING - FEEDING FOR THE SPECIES - REAL FOOD

 FAQs

  • When you are feeding fresh whole foods all the vitamins and minerals are in those foods. A veterinarian by the name of Karen Becker said it best when she said “ veterinarians will tell you never switch your pets food, We are supposed to wean our puppy at about 5 weeks of age. You put them on an entirely inorganic, over processed, dehydrated ‘nutritionally complete and balanced’ dead food. I want you to think of it like Total cereal - not picking on Total. But I think of it like Total cereal. So you take a regular cereal, add synthetic vitamins to it. Would you feed that to your kid three times a day? Probably not…. Veterinarians have convinced an entire 100 years of pet owners that if you feed anything other than pet food, dry kibble, or canned food , you could be harming your pet. In fact, veterinarians are the only wellness professionals that actually tell you to eat more processed food and fresh food is risky. In vet school we are not taught nutrition matters. “

    Your dog is getting all the vitamins and nutrients they require to not only stay healthy but to regain health and prevent disease. Whole food nutrition is vital for all mammals .

  • Let us begin by asking how much do you eat? Do you eat the same measured amount of food every day? Do you feed your kids the same food and same amounts every day? Of course not. Implement your best judgment remembering you are now nourishing the body not just feeding it.

    You will find some days your dogs will be really hungry and will want seconds - let him have seconds. you will also find some days yor dogs will not be hungry at all. do not panic and run to the vet. This is normal. There are days we are not hungry. appetites go up and down this is normal. feed accordingly. When you or your kids are hungry do you deny them a snack or second helping? of course not - give your dog the same consideration.

  • There are those chosen few, who are I like to call, our meat and potato dogs . They take a little more creativity. Most every dog will want what you’re eating. Start by giving them a piece of your banana, a date, or a slice of avocado. Hand feed it to them off your own plate. Start little. Remember as long as they are eating real food they’re eating healthy. Until they get used to smoothies and other creative ways of eating their fruits and veggies our immune enhancer contains super-foods to make up the difference. For over my 26 years of dong this i have run into some real picky eaters. Even the most stubborn of eaters will like at least 1 dried fruit be it a date or apricot, 1 piece of fruit or 1 veggie . seeds or nuts - baby steps is the best way to go with these dogs. Every time within 6 months they become the best eaters.

    I have a very dear friend of mine who has a Cane Corsa who is very picky. He would only eat his meat and my herbal formula. we tried everything finally she blended fruits and veggies in with goats milk to make a smoothie and it worked beautifully . now he will eat just about everything. Its all about patience and creativity. Its worth it in the end when they are healthy and vibrant from eating live food nutrition.

  • When your dog is eating foods he was born to eat - live fresh whole food nutrition - they are being hydrated on a cellular level so they will not require as much water intake. The body is nothing but chemistry for which there is two sides - acid and base ( alkaline)

    When you feed your dogs alkaline forming foods such as human food - raw meat, fruits, veggies. nuts, seeds, herbs those are all alkaline forming foods which hydrate the body naturally .

    Acid =dehydration

    Alkaline =hydration

    Processed food, cooked food, grains, are all acid forming foods

  • As your dog begins eating healthy whole foods their body adjusts to a healthier pH from high-quality nourishment. At this time the body is able to eliminate waste products from the lymphatic system. This process may bring about feelings of discomfort, otherwise known as detox symptoms, which includes flu like symptoms such as low energy levels, nausea , loose or discolored stool, headaches, fever, coughing and frequent urination, and feeling sleepy. These symptoms are temporary and nothing to worry about. Some other symptoms may or may not include joint stiffness, headaches, hair loss, skin rash, ear goop, goopy eyes, bad breath, runny nose. All of these symptoms are temporary as well and very much necessary in order to regain health and wellness
